Seymour Duncan Antiquity II 60's Surfer Strat Pickups are individually aged cosmetically and magnetically to simulate the natural wear and tear of decades of dedicated service. The realism of these "reissue" microphones makes it possible to meet all needs in all the musical registers that made the Strat successful: Soul, Pop, Rock-Blues, Texas Blues, Surf rock, etc.

The Antiquity II Surfer Strat Set is based on vintage 60's style gray fiber bobbins, wound with vintage 43 AWG enameled wire around Alnico 5 rod magnets which gives this shine, aged aged white roadworn cream-colored covers, specially calibrated studs to respect the grain of the "scatter wound" microphones from the years 1959-1962, and a final paraffin bath faithful to specifications.

The Antiquity II Surf bridge pickup for Strat Custom is wound to have midrange and higher output for greater versatility. Seymour coils them 50% hotter for more midrange, softened treble attack by demagnetizing the Alnico 5 rod magnets. It mixes much easier than a traditional Strat bridge pickup , while retaining the classic tonal character of a Vintage Stratocaster. The solos stand out more musically and the chords resonate with perfect brilliance and a beautiful sparkle in the midrange.

The set of Seymour Duncan Stratocaster Antiquity II Strat Surfer 60's pickups never leaves you indifferent, every detail is carefully studied to reproduce the authentic grain of Strat® sixties that we usually only hear on original vintage instruments:

• subtly overwound neck pickup for bigger harmonics and a big edge = 6.5K;
• middle pickup (RW/RP) reversed winding and polarity (N/S) for noise-free sound on intermediate positions 2 and 4 = 6.5K;
• Slightly overwound demagnetized bridge bridge pickup for perfect balance with other positions = 9.2K to 9.8K
