Seymour Duncan Scooped Strat Set parchment white pickups, John Mayer guitarist & singer, great fan of the strat and many times awarded at the Grammy Awards, alternates cheerfully between the most fiery Texan blues and pop/rock registers, in clean sound as in crunch.

To capture his signature sound, Seymour Duncan relied on late 50's underwound stratocaster pickups, with slightly raised Alnico 5 poles specifically calibrated to hollow out the mids and accentuate the lows and highs.

Scooped Strat pickups were designed for guitarists who want to cover everything from singing, screaming vintage Texas blues to the smooth crunch and clear highs of pop rock. To cover this kind of range, the pickups have been voiced to emphasize the high and low frequencies while reducing the mids.

Available with covers of different colors (black, white, parchment or cream), the set of Scooped Strat® pickups was until now only available via the Custom Shop Seymour Duncan in limited quantities, its addition to the standard catalog makes it possible to reduce the production cost and lead time.
