Individual pickup Seymour Duncan Flat Strat® APS2 Pro Alnico2 is the non-stepped version of the APS1. Designed for low radius guitars or for guitarists who use unwound G strings. The APS-2 has characteristics similar to the APS-1 pickup but with studs of the same dimensions and the same height in Alnico 2 which equalizes the rendering of each string and adapts better to flat neck radii (10 ' at 16'). We especially notice this balance during bends (less loss of volume).

Like the APS-1, the pickup sounds vintage : it will distort faster than the SSL-2 which has an Alnico 5 magnet. This pickup will sound better with ash, alder, or basswood bodies with a maple or rosewood fingerboard . The treble attack is soft and smooth, the mids are slightly scooped, while the lows have a vintage sponginess. The playing in chords offers a pleasant and soft feeling, the single notes, the solos have a singing and musical character.
