Finally Fender brings us a series of typical pickups in perfect harmony with the real power of Strat overwound pickups from the late 50's early 60's offering a sound very similar to John Mayer's Big Dipper but with more power.

With the Fat 60's Custom Shop, Fender offers a series of pickups with specifications from the 1959/61 era, overwound AWG 42, mixed Alnico 2 magnets, on a slightly raised fiber coil inspired by Telecaster pickups.

The Fender Stratocaster Fat 60's pickups have been fitted as standard on some Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop Postmodern since 2017. This vintage white Strat 1962 moto-pearloid 4-ply pickguard is a reproduction of the type of the John Mayer Big Dipper plate with nevertheless some improvements such as the CTS 300K linear volume and a Fender PIO Custom Shop .05uf/150V capacitor.

Modifiable custom assembly to order: Modification of the capacitor, potentiometers of your choice, etc. Please contact us for a personalized assembly. We assemble and mount this set on any other traditional 60s type pickguard, with aluminum or copper plate. Contact us before confirming your order.

• 4-ply white pearloid pickguard, thickness 2.3mm, vintage white pickup covers and buttons compatible with all vintage USA /Mexico/Japan Strat bodies type 1960/62 with 11 holes (1 offset screw), neck pocket width 56mm, chamfer access to trusrod screw;
• Fender Strat® Custom Shop FAT 60's pickup set, waxed "wax pot" finish, black coil and 42AWG waxed copper winding wire, vintage wire wiring in waxed cotton sheath, complete wiring in vintage wire;
  
• Original sound of the classic vintage strat of the 1959/60 transition style plus "Fat", warm and powerful: Brilliant harmonics, clear highs, round and precise bass, very good attack, very good sustain in clear or crunch sound;
• Electronic volume CTS 300K linear and 250K for tones, Fender Oiled paper capacitor .05uf/150V PIO, 5-position CRL / USA switch, general volume, tone 1 for neck pickup , tone 2 for middle and bridge pickup combinations.

• Central midrange microphone: 6.4 to 6.6K;
