The Seymour Duncan JB SH-4 pickup created for Jeff Beck, has a tonal structure close to the original humbucker, the Gibson PAF. To create a humbucker worthy of Jeff Beck, Seymour adds a large output level (around 16.6 kohms) capable of saturating the most stubborn amps. vintage amps capable of producing good saturation, like the Marshall Plexi, are often a little messy and too loaded in the low end. The SH-4 therefore has discreet bass and very precise and detailed treble.

Use it with a 500Kohm volume pot for an exceptional high end, or try a 250K or 300Kohm pot to soften the tone. It goes particularly well with the neck pickups on the ES series from Gibson or the '59 type humbuckers on the Les Paul and SG, you can even use a JB in the neck position for an extra-fat solo sound and present in the mids .
